Create a voting experience for loyal members to contribute to their preferred community cause

Nike | London, Berlin

For the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, Nike’s “Helden” celebrates German athletes working hard on and off the pitch and track and in their communities to push society forward.

“Du tust es nie nur für dich” (“You never do it just for yourself.”) is a celebration of sport’s incredible power to unite people and a call to all athletes, inspiring them to go beyond medals and trophies and to become heroes themselves. In alignment with the campaign, there was a call to the public to do specific workouts to gain a pledge and vote for their preferred community causes.

I was in charge of designing and connecting the overall experience across digital, social and influencer channels, focusing on directing the public to explore the website, do challenges and vote on the platform.

As a UX designer, I’d

  • Design a voting experience across various channels

  • Build its campaign website within Nike’s ecosystem

  • Design a brand new voting platform together with visual designers

  • Client management and alignment on experience

Website

In alignment with the campaign, there was a call to the public to do specific workouts to gain a pledge and vote for their preferred community causes.

UX considerations included building feelings of contribution towards their selected community causes through animated moments, encouraging discovery of challenges, matching Nike’s brand guidelines all while ensuring a consistent and timely experience by syncing influencer’s participation with members.
